Bright Star Touring Theatre actors Ryan Anthony and Lauren Ainsworth brought history to life Sunday, Feb. 26, in “Groundbreaking Geniuses,” performed in Farragut Town Hall to commemorate Black History Month. Anthony portrayed an array of notable Black individuals, including author Ralph Ellison, dancer/choreographer Alvin Ailey, NASA mathematician and “human computer” Dorothy Vaughan and inventors George Washington Carver Jr. and Lonnie Johnson. Ainsworth played an investigative reporter detailing their many accomplishments.

Scores of area residents attended the production, which was preceded by a reception and tours of Farragut Museum.
