• At 7 p.m., Thursday, March 2, Knox County Sheriff’s Office units responded to a Lost Tree Lane residence in reference to a residential burglary with force. Victim/complainant said she arrived home around 6:30 p.m. when she realized a window in the back of her residence was open.
“Victim also realized a glass door at the front of her residence that is always locked was unlocked,” the report stated. She discovered numerous items of jewelry to be stolen. Total value of loss was listed at $1,900, the victim estimated.
“She observed multiple jewelry boxes to be strewn about her vanity,” the report further stated. “Officers checked the outside of the window that was open, where (an officer) observed there to be pry marks to the frame of the window. Officers were made aware by neighbors that a nearby resident had been having work done to his residence by handy men. (An officer) canvassed the immediate area around the victim’s residence for cameras, to which no immediate neighbors had cameras in the vicinity.” A forensics officer responded to process the scene.
