Riverside May purse auction to benefit Next Steps program
Riverside Coffee Shop is hosting an upcoming designer purse auction, and currently is accepting donations through the end of April.
The event will be held sometime in May at a day and time to be determined, according to organizers.
“Donate your new or gently used designer purses for our spring fundraiser,” stated Angela Lee of Andover Place, who operates both Riverside Coffee Shop and the separate ABA Next Steps Program, which is the beneficiary of the fundraiser. “Donated purses will be auctioned and sold to ticketholders in April, on a date yet to be determined.”
ABA Next Steps program, a 501c3 non-profit, teaches vocational and life skills to teens and young adults with autism and other learning disabilities.
Donations are being accepted at both Riverside Coffee Shop, 16239 Highway 70 E, in Dixie Lee Junction, and Peer Academy, 10231 Sherrill Blvd. Times are from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Saturday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sundays (weekend times are for the coffee shop only).
