• Farragut Museum will temporarily close after regular museum hours (from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) Wednesday, May 31, to prepare for interior renovations in Farragut Town Hall. “The current estimate is that construction will begin in early fall and require a closure of 12-18 months,” a Town press release stated.
“Beginning in June, all museum artifacts will be placed in climate-controlled storage until the museum reopens,” the report further stated. “When renovations are complete, the museum will have several improvements, including an exterior public entrance that will allow for evening and weekend hours.
“While Town Hall is closed, museum staff and volunteers will continue to provide educational opportunities to the community.”
