• The community is invited to a free concert and cookout beginning at 5 p.m., Saturday, June 17, featuring the teen-led xPerience band — 15 youth and five adults — at Faith Lutheran Church, 225 Jamestowne Blvd. This youth-led touring concert group is from Christ Lutheran Church in Charlotte, North Carolina.
• Celebrate the longest day of the summer with live bluegrass at a free community concert, Bluegrass Summer Solstice, from 6 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, June 21, at Founders Park at Campbell Station, 405 N. Campbell Station Road.
Brand New Box of Matches opens the show at 6 p.m. Outta the Blue takes the stage from 7 to 9 p.m. Food truck concessions will be available from Smith’s End Zone, Hot Dog Hut and Kona Ice. Additional parking is available at Farragut Community Center, 239 Jamestowne Blvd. Visit Farragut is event sponsor.
