• University of Tennessee, Knoxville, recently announced Knoxville native Cyrus Yoshimoto has been named a Schwarzman Scholar and will study in China.
Yoshimoto is a May 2022 graduate with a degree in honors classics. The Schwarzman Scholars program is one of the world’s most prestigious graduate fellowships, providing students an opportunity to study in a one-year, fully-funded master’s degree program in global affairs at Schwarzman College at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.
• UScellular recently donated $28,150 in wireless hotspots and service to Tennessee Golf Foundation as a part of the company’s After School Access Project to help youth have reliable Internet access.
• Nikita Hudson recently was named director of growth for Keller Williams Greater Knoxville. She has more than eight years’ experience in real estate, recently was named one of the top 25 Influencers in Real Estate in Knoxville, and is the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion chair who sits on the Associated Leadership Council for Keller Williams. Hudson also is vice president of Knoxville’s Chapter of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers.
• U.S. Department of Energy recently announced it awarded $500,000 to Analysis and Measurement Services Corporation for a year-long project to develop an industry blueprint that will reduce the outage time and maintenance costs for nuclear power plants.
