FWKCC presents Business Expo
Farragut West Knox Chamber of Commerce is bringing back Business Expo 2023, taking place from 2 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 2, in Rothchild Catering & Conference Center, 8807 Kingston Pike in Knoxville.
“It will be in its largest venue space, which can accommodate up to 125 booths,” FWKCC president/CEO Julie Blaylock said. “Businesses that we talked to are continuing to look for opportunities like this to make their brand more visible to the community, to be more connected and also to broaden their networks.”
The event also is a great networking opportunity and “a great opportunity for other professionals in the community to come out, meet different businesses and see what they have to offer,” she said.
“Currently, it is sponsored by TDS Telecom,” Blaylock added last week. “We also have community sponsors, Tennessee State Bank and Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union.
Moreover, “We also anticipate having some local restaurants or caterers who may be providing some samples of their wares,” she said. “We expect it’s going to be a great event.
“We sent out sponsorship forms and booth applications to participants in last year’s Expo,” Blaylock added. “We also sent it to FWKCC Enterprise Clubs to give those two groups first right of refusal or acceptance to attend.
“They have until Thursday, June 15. After that date, we will open up sponsorships and booth spaces to the rest of the Chamber membership, as well as the general business public.”
She is hoping for at least several hundred attendees.
Cost to simply attend is $5 in advance and $10 the day of the event at the door for both members and non-members.
Sponsorships are for FWKCC members only, as a privilege of membership. Meanwhile, booths are $200 for members and $300 for non-members. Vendors providing food samples can get a booth for $150.
Booth fees include a table, tablecloth and two chairs. Booth electricity also is available, but must be requested.
“There is a 10 percent early-bird discount to all vendors for booths, which ends on Friday, June 23,” she said. “We encourage sponsors to get their commitment in by Friday, June 30, for maximum exposure.”
