• At 1:14 a.m., Saturday, June 24, Knox County Sheriff’s Office units responded to a report of lost property at Cotton Eye Joe, 11220 Outlet Drive.
Officers spoke to complainant, “who told officers he had located a loaded firearm (North American Arms .22 short) in a holster inside the business,” the report stated. The firearm was checked through NCIC and inventoried at the KCJ lockers. Value of firearm was listed at $101.
• At 1:54 p.m., Friday, June 23, a KCSO unit responded to a Virtue Road residence in reference to a theft. Complainant advised around 6 a.m., Saturday, June 10, power to the cell tower has been out since Thursday, June 9. Property owner advised there was a generator missing from the tower. Complainant “noticed the lock to the gate was on the ground broken and the fence was altered,” the report stated. He also pointed out the drag marks from where the generator was placed and moved to the roadway. Complainant stated the generator is valued at $70,000.
