• According to a (Town of Farragut) meeting I watched, the agenda to improve the Campbell Station (Road)-Kingston Pike intersection has been pushed back to 2026. Meanwhile, the Town is looking to purchase land off of McFee Road for recreation purposes.
It appears the intersection improvement is being pushed back for future Town leadership.
• In order for the addition of a Hy-Vee store in Farragut to generate a bonanza of sales tax revenue, people who now shop our existing stores would have to buy much more food. That idea is nonsense.
Consumers will not increase their purchases, they will simply spread them among one additional store.
Whatever the reasons to approve the Hy-Vee store plans for Farragut, sales tax revenues are not among them.
