• Kick & Fit Club, a new kickboxing gym, located beside EarthFare in Turkey Creek, will host free workouts in conjunction with their grand opening Saturday and Sunday, July 1-2.
The gym will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. for general workouts, with group kickboxing classes at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and noon Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday.

• TennGreen Land Conservancy recently appointed Andrew Rueff, the executive chairman of SphereCommerce, LLC, and TeamSnap to its board of directors alongside Christopher C. Haigler, a trust officer with Southeastern Trust Company. Rueff is an East Tennessee native and global mover-and-shaker who resides in Knoxville.
• Tennova Healthcare has announced the North Knoxville Medical Center recently appointed Bill Rich as its new chief executive officer effective July 17. As CEO, Rich will oversee day-to-day operations for the growing acute care facility in Powell.
• U.S. Department of Defense recently announced Knox County Schools is one of 15 recipients of 2023 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award, the highest U.S. government honor to employers for support of National Guard and Reserve employees.
