EWI hosts new Christmas-July
Executive Women International, Knoxville branch, will host a new networking event this summer titled “Christmas in July.” This event will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 18, in SouthEast Bank, 12700 Kingston Pike in Farragut.
This event, free of charge, “offers business networking, a pop-up shop by Kendra Scott Jewelry, door prizes and a silent auction,” an EWI Knoxville press release stated. “Christmas in July will also raise awareness for one of EWI’s member firms, the Emerald Youth Foundation. Every year, Emerald Youth hosts a Christmas Store that gives city families the opportunity to shop for gifts at a deeply discounted rate.”
Guests are encouraged to bring a children’s book to donate to the EYF Christmas Store.
“The Knoxville branch of Executive Women International has been active and dedicated to helping women grow professionally and develop relationships and skill sets that further their careers in Knoxville for over 30 years,” the press release further stated.
“Giving back to the community, supporting member firms and building opportunities to expand our professional network is a crucial part of our mission,” said Charity Wilson, EWI Knoxville president. “This event will provide an opportunity to connect, with many executives in our community who are interested in growing professionally while making lasting friendships and having fun.”
Proceeds “will go toward supporting the professional development of this non-profit organization,” the release stated. “Every year, EWI members fundraise to attend the Leadership Conference and Annual Meeting for professional development, keynote speakers, workshops, seminars and group discussions.”
This year, LCAM will be held in Chattanooga.
