KCSO reports
• At 3:59 p.m., Thursday, July 27, a Knox County Sheriff’s Office unit was dispatched to a Summerdale Drive residence regarding vandalism. Victim/complainant said an unknown suspect cut her children’s bounce house.
Victim said she left the residence at 1:43 p.m. to get groceries, and when she returned at 2:43 p.m., she noticed the bounce house had been cut. Officer stated he “observed the bounce house had a piece cut or rip in the canvas fabric.” Estimated value to replace the bounce house was $874.
• At 2:27 p.m., July 27, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report a motor vehicle theft from U-Haul Farragut, 10833 Kingston Pike. Complainant said the known suspect rented the vehicle and had an agreement to return it Saturday, July 22. After numerous attempts of contact, the suspect has not returned the vehicle, a 2017 GMC Savana. Total value of loss was listed at $90,000.
• At 5:24 p.m., Wednesday, July 26, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report theft from an Ackley Circle residence. Complainant said an unknown suspect stole mail “from the porch of the residence,” the report stated. “The complainant (said) she received confirmation of the delivery but could not find the mail.”
• At 10:47 a.m., Tuesday, July 25, a complainant called KCSO East Precinct to report vandalism at a Smith Road residence.
According to the complainant, between 10 p.m., Monday night, July 24, and 9 a.m., July 25, “a person unknown in a truck was doing donuts in a grassy area at the side of Farragut Church of Christ parking lot. Complainant advised this has been happening more often recently, so he thought he should file a report,” the report stated. “He said they do have some outside cameras, but doesn’t believe they are pointed in this area. The complainant is going to check the video for a more exact time and a description of the vehicle involved.”
Total value of damage was listed at $300.
• At 6:01 p.m., Monday, July 24, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report a theft at a Turkey Cove Lane residence. Complainant said she was having multiple companies move furniture and paint her residence on multiple days.
“She noticed about a week after that … multiple pieces of jewelry in the jewelry box that belonged to her mother and totaled to be approximately $15,000 … had been stolen,” the report stated.“Complainant advised she is pretty sure it wasn’t the painters, but has all of the companies listed on her calendar with the times they were there.” Complainant said she will review all the information she has to narrow down the company with whom suspect(s) would be employed.
• At 2:44 p.m., Monday, July 17, an officer was dispatched to Anytime Fitness in Farragut, 12572 Kingston Pike, for property damage. Business owner/victim “said he noticed a hole in the exterior of the back door to the business,” the report stated. “I observed a hole that appeared to be a gunshot on the exterior of the door.
“The hole did not penetrate entirely through the door.”
Victim said on Thursday, July 13, there was a burglary alarm that went off, “and he was not sure if it was was related,” the report stated.
