Honoring a strong leader: Bettye’s Bench & Tree Dedication a Town Plaza tribute to Ms. Sisco
A large gathering of Farragut and West Knox County business owners and other prominent Town of Farragut and Knox area officials came together to honor the late Bettye Sisco, “an instant star” ... “a gift” ... “she was driven” and “could light up a room,” various attendees said about this president/CEO of Farragut West Knox Chamber of Commerce from 2000 to late 2016. Bettye’s Bench & Tree Dedication, marking the bench, a tree and a plaque as permanent fixtures in Mayor Ralph McGill Plaza at the corner of Kingston Pike and Campbell Station Road, was held Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 22.
Pictured are Bettye, Bettye’s pet dog, Lailani, on the special bench and the plaque recognizing Bettye's FWKCC service.
