• At 9:17 p.m., Friday, Aug. 25, a Knox County Sheriff’s Office unit responded to the intersection of Campbell Station Road and Kingston Pike in reference to a hit-and-run vehicle accident. Victim, contacted at a nearby parking lot, said she had been stopped on North Campbell Station Road and was attempting to turn westbound onto Kingston Pike.
Victim, according to the report, said she “had eased into the intersection while waiting for an appropriate space in traffic to turn when the light changed from green to yellow,” observing the oncoming traffic to be slowing down for the yellow light, and then began to make her turn. “... A white pickup truck sped through the intersection and struck the front” of victim’s 2010 Toyota Yaris,” the report further stated.
Total value of damage was listed at $400. Suspect did not stop, continuing to travel southbound on Campbell Station Road. Officer “did observe the front bumper of (victim’s) vehicle to have been knocked completely off of her car. Victim declined medical attention … and her vehicle was able to be driven from the scene.”
• At 9:48 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 23, a KCHS unit was dispatched to Pep Boys, 10839 Kingston Pike in Farragut, for the report of theft. Complainant/witness, a company official, said he had been conducting an investigation of the loss of product at this location. Complainant said that after reviewing footage he saw evidence of stolen merchandise. Suspect was confronted and admitted to the theft. Suspect “agreed to speak with me (adding) everything in his written statement was true ... and that he acted alone,” the report stated.
Suspect said beginning in June (no specific date) he began stealing from Pep Boys and “assumed he could get away with it.” Total amount of loss was listed at $2113.81 — including 10 tires/three brands totaling more than $1,300 — which was confirmed by a company official. Suspect listed all he took and “believed that was all that he had stolen, but there could be some things that he forgot about,” the report stated.
• At 5:49 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 22, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report an auto burglary at an Oakmont Circle address. Complainant advised his Ring cameras show the suspect entered into a 2019 Ford F-150 pick-up truck “and removed the firearm from its holster sitting in the console,” the report stated. “Complainant advised the doors were unlocked as there was no damage, and the unmodified gun is loaded.” Total value of loss was listed at $600.
• At 7:46 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 19, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report a theft from Sleep Inn & Suites, 11341 Campbell Lakes Drive. Complainant advised an unknown suspect got into his unlocked toolbox on the bed of his 2007 Ford F-150 pick-up truck. Value of loss was listed at $900, including a $700 laser level.
