• The Town needs to fix the Campbell Station Road and Kingston Pike intersection. The left-turn lanes would help. Apparently the Town can’t afford $1.55 million for this project, yet has chosen to spend $5.5 million dollars on a land purchase for a future park for which there is no official plan.
This sounds like another frivolous use of tax money, as we have seen with the Campbell Station Inn.
• Wanted you to be aware of the Choto Housing Project that needs approval from Knox (County officials) in September. There’s a lot of things our community in Choto doesn’t agree with. We have almost no say in the matter. Doors are closed to our thoughts on the low-income build.
Very sad as a newer resident. The land accommodates five homes and is now slated for 56 townhomes that are Section 8 vouchers. This land has severe flood issues. … There will be more children to educate at our schools.
