• It is so selfish to have two multi-million dollar parks within a quarter of a mile of each other on McFee Road. The Town could save millions of dollars by buying the failed subdivision on Grigsby Chapel Road across from Wyndham Hall and making that a park. It’s not fair to exclude the people of the North Ward.
People there would like tennis courts and pickleball courts and walking trails. And with the money saved, the Town could install the badly needed lefthand-turn lanes on (the intersection of) Kingston Pike and Campbell Station Road. I hope people will stand up and speak for fairness.
• I was one of the many residents who attended the Town Center Citizens Input session in reference to the Multi-Use Town Center. Originally, there were about 50 chairs set out, but before the meeting even got started they had to add several additional rows because so many members of our community came out to participate. It was a very interesting and informative experience.
There was a lot of good interaction not only between our residents and our Town officials and the confronting groups, but also between our residents. Members of our community were asking each other questions, sharing ideas — all in a polite, courteous and positive manner.
It just proved that when you go and you ask questions and you talk to people actually involved in the process, you can get all the information and all the facts. Thank you to our community for such a good participation and for being willing to take time out of your busy days to show up.
