Eight Farragut High students earn College Board awards
The students and their awards are: Barbara Kapusta, David Broda, John Tiernan and Sara Camacho, National Hispanic Recognition Award; Emma Cunningham, Laura Cunningham and Victoria “Tori” McNair, National African American Recognition Award; and Margaret “Maggie” Raines, National Indigenous Award.
An e-mail sent by the College Board to Elizabeth Duncan, FHS parent and community involvement coordinator/college and career mentor, stated: “Your students earned this academic honor because of their GPA of 3.5 or higher and outstanding performance on the PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10 and/or AP exams.
“They can now list this honor on applications to stand out to colleges.”
