• At 11:02 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 24, a Knox County Sheriff’s Office unit was dispatched to 800 N. Campbell Station Road (Marathon convenience store) in reference to a counterfeit bill. Complainant said he came in that morning to count and check the money from yesterday, and while checking the cash he used an anti-counterfeit marker and found a $20 bill that was identified as counterfeit. Complainant said he was not sure when it was received, so he was not sure if he had video footage of it taken.
• At 10:49 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 16, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report an attempted stolen vehicle from 11000 Kingston Pike. Complainant advised an unknown suspect entered a locked 2012 white Chevrolet van, breaking the front passenger side window and attempting to take the vehicle without permission. He advised the ignition appeared to be busted with the wires pulled out. Total value of loss was listed at $3,250, $3,000 of which was damage to ignition wires.
