3-peat, 3rd 0 loss mark sought by BHS girls
CHATTANOOGA — Looking to do something rare, even on a national level, Bearden High School’s Lady SoccerDawgs are three wins away from not only a Class AAA state championship three-peat, but securing a third straight unbeaten season.
Carrying a 19-0-1 record into its state quarterfinal game versus unbeaten Houston (16-0-2), which begins at 4 p.m. todat, Wednesday, Oct. 25, Bearden has gone 66-0-2 since last losing, which came in the 2020 state tournament.
A win versus the HHS Lady Mustangs would earn a semifinal berth starting at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 26, versus the winner of Walker Valley (16-3-1) and Franklin (13-1-1).
All games above are to be played a Chattanooga Christia School.
The state title game is set for 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28, at Chi Memorial Stadium.
