• Thursday, Oct. 26, the Town of Farragut had its Reserved Fund reduced by 31 percent for a park (along McFee Road) that was unneeded. (Town officials) hid from the people that the 55 acres purchased is all old-growth trees. And the 15 acres of donated land is the only good land.
Also hidden was a huge sinkhole — almost two acres in size — on those 15 acres. The Opens Meetings Act was violated (a point vigorously denied by the Town attorney), and that is clear by the agenda on Oct. 26.
This entire event was very poor representation. We should all hope for better.
