Partners Greer, Wilson open Pure Beauty Salon
“We’re super excited about being here,” Greer said. “It’s super nice. All the people at the Renaissance have been super friendly. It kind of feels like a little neighborhood, really.”
Greer, a Greenback resident, and Wilson, a Loudon resident, provide any kind of hair service — cuts, color and keratin treatments — as well as facial waxing.
Greer has been a hair stylist since 2007.
“I knew that this is what I wanted to do, I think, since when I was in the sixth grade,” she said. “I graduated high school early and started beauty school right away.”
“It’s what I’ve always done,” said Wilson, who has been in the hair styling business for 20 years. “I’ve always loved being at a salon, so it’s always what I wanted to do.”
Like Greer, Wilson went to beauty school right after high school because that was her calling.
Working alongside Greer “is great,” Wilson said. “She’s very easy to work with.”
Regarding their business, “There’re not many small salons anymore,” Greer said.
“We worked together at a salon previously for about 10 years” before venturing out on their own, Greer added
They chose Renaissance because “it’s a super nice area and it’s not too far down the road from where we were,” Wilson said. “It’s a good location.
“I really love this spot,” she added, also noting, “There’s a lot less traffic here.”
“This is a more intimate place (as their previous salon), not as many people coming in and out,” Greer said.
