KCSO reports
• At 9:19 p.m., Friday, Dec. 1, two Knox County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to Cotton Eyed Joe along Outlet Road in Farragut on report of a disturbance.
Officers spoke with employee/complainant, who said “a male got into an altercation with one of the bouncers over taking a drink on the dance floor inside,” the report stated. “Parties were separated upon officers’ arrival, and (complainant) requested this (customer) to be criminally trespassed. Officers spoke with (the customer), who (said) he did not need medical attention and was upset over the situation.
“Officers advised (customer) he was criminally trespassed, and that if he were to return he would be arrested.”
• At 10:29 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 30, a complainant came inside KCSO West Precinct to report theft from a Briar Creek Drive residence. Complainant advised he received an e-mail at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 28, stating his package from Amazon was delivered.
Complainant said he “went outside to retrieve his package and noticed the seal on the AMD package was cut open and the computer chip was stolen,” the report stated. “Amazon advised the complainant to file a police report for the stolen computer chip.” Total value of loss was listed at $358.99.
• At 8:07 a.m., Nov. 30, a complainant called KCSO West Precinct to report a 2018 flatbed trailer stolen from Knoxville Academy of Martial Arts. Value of loss was listed at $5,000.
Complainant advised “there was a lock on the trailer prior to this incident,” the report stated. “Complainant (said) he thought other employees had used the trailer until he found the cut lock in the bushes of the property.”
• At 8:41 a.m., Monday, Nov. 27, a KCSO unit responded to Davita Dialysis, 111 S. Campbell Station Road, in reference to an attempted break-in/burglary.
A complainant presented a “broken dead bolt and took me to the rear of the building,” the report stated. “She advised (an) employee … arrived at the facility at 3:55 a.m. (that day) and discovered the dead bolt missing from the rear door where the employees enter. (Another) employee … arrived at around 4:15 (a.m.) and also found the lock missing.
She took her break at around 6:38 (a.m.) and exited the rear door where the lock was missing. When she exited, she heard something drop and saw the missing lock laying on the ground. I observed there was a lock box at the top of the door and suspected the lock was placed there.”
“A further investigation through (complainant) revealed that Davita Dialysis workers left the facility on Saturday, (Nov. 25) at around (5:)15 and the rear door was secure,” the report further stated. “The cleaning crew discovered the lock broken on (Sunday, Nov. 26) at around (1:30 p.m.) when they tried to use their key to open the lock. A cleaning crew member placed the broken lock on top of the lock box and sent pictures to (complainant).”
Complainant “also advised she noticed another lock appeared to have been tampered with that contained a voltage box, also located at the rear of the building,” the report stated.
“It appears as though at least three staff members touched the broken lock, but (complainant) wrapped the lock in a plastic glove prior to my arrival,” the report further stated. “… It should be noted that the temperature during the night was as low as 31 degrees and there was frost on all surfaces.
“There are no suspects at this time and no cameras at the facility.” Total value of damage was listed at $100.
• At 10:18 p.m., Nov. 26, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report a lost wallet. Complainant advised the wallet was last seen at a restaurant along Parkside Drive. Complainant advised she did reach out to the restaurant. She also said her husband has Alzheimers.
• On Friday, Nov. 24, officers were dispatched to a Snyder Road hotel on a disturbance allegation. Upon arrival, officers spoke to complainant, “who said he had been contacted by at least six rooms telling him that someone was knocking on doors. Officers were able to locate (eventual arrestee) outside a room that was not his,” the report stated. Eventual arrestee “was slurring his speech and was having trouble walking, could not tell officers what he was doing and was having trouble giving any information.”
Complainant said the eventual arrestee had a room. Officers found his room and located 11 empty bottles of alcohol. Eventual arrestee “had the odor of alcohol coming from his person and breath and was clearly a danger to himself and others,” the report stated.
Due to him causing a disturbance and the chances of this continuing, he was arrested and transported to Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility.
• At 9:43 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 22, a complainant called KCSO West Precinct to report his work vehicle broken into at Cracker Barrel in Farragut.
Complainant finished eating, and upon returning to his 2019 Chevy Silverado noticed all his personal tools stolen.
Complainant advised all the listed property was in the rear of the locked vehicle in an unlocked box prior to this incident. Complainant advised his employers offered to reimburse all the stolen tools if a police report was made.
At the time of this report there were no known suspects. Value of loss was listed at $2,145,51.
• At 3:45 p.m., Monday, Nov. 21, a complainant called KCSO North Precinct to report an identity theft that occurred at a Lake Park Circle address.
Complainant is the victim’s daughter and she was helping her file the report. Complainant advised an unknown suspect used the victim’s personal information to open an account.
She advised the victim received a letter from a collections agency. She advised the letter stated that an account with Best Buy was in collections in the amount of $1,937.83.
She advised her mother does not have a Best Buy credit card and did not make these purchases.
The purchases were made in January and February of 2021. She advised she just received the letter notifying her of this Wednesday, Nov. 8.
