• At 3:47 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 6, a Knox County Sheriff’s Office unit responded to a Roane Drive address following a hit and run. Officer spoke to complainant/property owner. who said her husband (witness/property owner) was waiting for their two juvenile children to get off the school bus. Complainant observed the school bus drop off the children on Thorton Drive at Roane Drive.
“The bus driver left the doors of the school bus open, and the stop arm extended as she made a right turn onto Roane Drive,” the report stated. “As the bus turned, the stop arm pulled Christmas lights from complainant’s front yard and dragged them down the road. The bus driver only stopped several houses down to remove the Christmas lights from the vehicle.”
Complainant further said the bus driver’s reckless driving made her fear for her children’s safety. Total value of damage was listed as $50.
• At 3:44 p.m., Dec. 6, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report vandalism to his 2008 Lincoln Town Car from a Laurel Brooke Lane residence.
When bringing the vehicle “for service into Discount Tire, a bullet was located in the left rear tire,” the report stated. He was advised by the officer to make a report.
Total value of damage was listed at $50.
• At 1 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 5, a complainant called KCSO West Precinct to report a burglary to her 2019 Honda CRV from The Goddard School of Farragut, 125 Loudoun Road. She advised an unknown suspect gained entry into her vehicle taking a purse and wallet. She said the doors were unlocked so no damage was made to gain entry.
Complainant advised the school has video surveillance but would not disclose suspect information at this time. The victim advised the school does have cameras and they were checking the video to see if anything was visible. Total value of loss was listed at $95.
• At 10:38 p.m., Dec. 5, a victim called KCSO East Precinct to report a vehicular burglary, which occurred at The Goddard School, 125 Loudoun Road. According to the victim, between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. she was inside the Goddard School having a parent-teacher conference.
The victim said when she returned to her 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe around 9:30, “she noticed her wallet was gone from the passenger side floor board,” the report stated. “According to the victim, she is unsure if her vehicle was locked.”
The victim advised the school does have cameras and they were checking the video to see if anything was visible. Total value of loss was listed at $60.
