Peter Wu joins Kessler Collection
He will be leading Kessler Collection’s hotel management and operations division, overseeing the corporate commercial, marketing, human capital and information technology functions.
“With more than two decades of proven excellence at Fortune 200 & 500 and privately held gaming, entertainment and hospitality brands, Wu brings the expertise and passion that has established him as an industry thought leader,” stated a press release from Kessler Collection.
Over the years, he has managed, developed, opened and advised luxury resorts and destinations across the United States, Asia, the Caribbean and the Middle East.
“Pete is well-known for his ability to elevate properties and create memorable experiences-skills crucial in growing the Kessler Collection,” the release stated.
“I am honored and thrilled to be joining the Kessler Collection, a company I have always admired for its inspired vision and values, captivating hotels and entrepreneurial spirit,” Wu said.
“I have actually known the Kessler family over 20 years,” he added, having attended Cornell University with Mark and Laura Kessler.
“I have always loved visiting their unique design-, art- and locally inspired hotels, but what has always impressed me is Richard Kessler’s visionary approach to boutique luxury with Southern charm.”
The Kesslers also were founders of Marriott’s Autograph Collection and had the first seven Autograph Collection hotels.

Wu and his wife, Heather Wu, have three children: Hennessy, Miles and Wilhelmina.
