Lady Ads split pair in Johnson City
JOHNSON CITY — Knocking off host Science Hill 47-42 allowed Jason Mayfield’s Farragut Lady Admirals to split the two-day Roundball Classic Friday and Saturday, Dec. 8-9.
Although the team is “really having trouble scoring,” Mayfield added that against the Lady Hilltoppers, “We ended up with our best field goal percentage all season. We executed better and had a little more patience on offense.”
In fact, “Science Hill has only three losses, and two of those are against us,” he said.
Sophomore wing KJ McNealy led the Lady Ads with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Junior guards Jaci Neubert and Annie Priest each scored eight while freshman guard Reagan Sheridan added six and senior Mya Johnston five.
Farragut (6-4 record starting the week) lost its Roundball opener to Kingsport Dobyns-Bennett 51-46 Dec. 8.
Priest led her team in scoring with 16 while Neubert added 15. McNealy ended with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
