Vendor participation grows as 4th Annual Health & Wellness Expo nears
New interactive workshops and demonstrations by Farragut businesses mark Shop Farragut/Farragut Business Alliance’s 4th Annual Health & Wellness Expo, featuring more vendors than ever before.
Sponsored by SouthEast Bank, the Expo is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, in Farragut Community Center, 239 Jamestowne Blvd.
“We have 34 exhibitors now,” SF/FBA executive director Steve Krempasky said last week.
He added they all are from Farragut.
“That was my mission,” Krempasky said about the businesses being from Town. He explained there are only two events per year that FBA can include out-of-Town businesses for which the Town would provide funding.
By having Town businesses, Krempasky said those attending “will know these services are available right in their hometown.”
One such activity is a free marketing execution workshop from RISE USA that is “designed to help business owners understand the importance of effective and intentional marketing in the marketplace,” said Cameron Smith, business coach with RISE USA. “We will be covering brand identity and culture, as well as providing actionable steps for business owners and professionals to execute to gain more attention.”
He explained RISE USA is a “one-stop shop for business owners to gain the education and tools needed to scale. “With coaching, media, marketing, co-management and many more services offered, RISE USA has created a unique opportunity for business owners to achieve their dream business and life,” Smith said.
Also, Wanda Malhotra, owner of two businesses, Crunchy Mama Box and Root Journey, booked one of the classrooms for demonstrations as well as two booths.
“These are all health products, and one’s food-based,” Krempasky added. “She’s
paid a little extra to have the classroom space so she can do demonstrations and bring in some of her other (business) partners.”
”We’re so excited,” Malhotra said. “We’re going to have health coaches, kombucha, home-baked goods tastings,” said Malhotra, pioneering wellness advocate and CEO of Crunchy Mama Box. “There’s going to be so many activities. We’re going to have giveaways. We’re going to have swag bags with lots of gifts in them.”
She said her booths will provide “a unique pop-up shop experience within the Expo.”
