Town Center slowly but surely coming along: Quinn
Construction on Farragut Town Center at Biddle Farms continues as building construction multiplies.
“Construction is going well now that we are up and moving,” said Alex Quinn, leasing agent for CHM, LLC, developers for the project. “Steel is complete on some of the buildings and going up on others.
“We are looking at turning over the first spaces to some tenants to begin their build-out in the early parts of summer,” he added. “Construction will continue into the fall with some tenants opening by end of the year and others first of next year.
Currently, three restaurants have committed to opening businesses in Town center: Tupelo Honey, Super Chix and Parlor Donuts.
“We are still trying to attract the types of businesses you see in downtown markets, so we will have a variety of restaurants, workout spaces, lifestyle retail and shopping,” Quinn said. “We should have between four to six restaurants and another five to six retail tenants, depending on square footage requirements.”
Regarding the “great lawn,” “The Town Green is constructed, but we will not landscape it until all the construction is done to not damage it,” Quinn said.
On the housing end, apartments are going well and are tracking the same timeline as the retail,” Quinn said. “The townhouses are still in the planning stages on our end.”
While CHM, LLC., is involved in the grocery store project along North Watt Road, “no work has commenced and no announcement has been made,” Quinn added.
Watt Road-Kingston Pike apartments
The apartment complex along South Watt Road near the intersection of Kingston Pike is taking applications, with one building of apartments soon ready to be occupied, Town administrator David Smoak said.
