• At 1:19 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 22, a complainant called Knox County Sheriff’s Office West Precinct to report theft from a Chapel Point Lane residence. Complainant advised she bought her 2019 Audi 07 in September 2023 and was advised by the dealership her new license plate would be mailed to her. Complainant said she never received her license plate and believes it might have been stolen due to her being out of town. At this time there are no known suspects. Total value of loss was listed at $20.
• At 4:33 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 21, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve unit to report a forgery of checks with a Sonja Drive resident as victim. Complainant said three checks totaling $500 were mailed to Rural Metro. Complainant said she was notified they never received the checks, but when speaking with her bank, Y12 Federal Credit Union, it was confirmed the checks were cashed through Bank of America with the name Lackend Gtd. The first check of $100 was cashed on March 10, 2023, the second check of $200 was cashed on April 22, 2023, and the third check of $200 was cashed on June 20, 2023. She was advised by Y12 Federal Credit Union a report is needed for them to investigate.
• At 11:21 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 20, a complainant called KSCO Teleserve Unit to report a theft at a North Campbell Station Road business. Complainant said the suspect entered the store, went into the beer cooler and walked out with her trench coat pockets full of miscellaneous beer, passed the point of sale and exited the store. Complainant said the suspect tried to flee in a 2011 Hyundai Elantra, “but it would not start and fled on foot,” the report stated. Total value of loss was listed at $65.
• At 4:48 p.m., Feb. 20, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report identity theft at a Cashmere Lane residence. Victim said on Thursday, Feb. 1, an unknown suspect used his personal information to open a credit card in his name. He received an alert on Sunday, Feb. 18, from credit monitoring, and when speaking with Five Star Credit Union they confirmed there was a fraudulent account opened in his name. He was advised by Five Star to make a report.
• At 10:54 a.m., Monday, Feb. 19, a complainant called KCSO Teleserve Unit to report a vehicle burglary at a Hampton Roads Drive residence. Complainant said he last parked the unlocked 2019 Dodge Ram pick-up at this location Sunday, Feb. 18. His camera notified him of movement at 1:15 a.m., Feb. 19, where he then discovered the suspect … had rummaged through his vehicle but did not steal anything. Complainant added he has the camera footage saved for review.
