Farragut couple launches Same 24 Logistics in home
“We are a local delivery company,” Walter said. “We pretty much deliver whatever our customers need locally.
“We can deliver cargo for some of our customers,” she added. “We deliver auto parts … from customer to customer.
As for geting things going, “My boyfriend and I started this company together,” Walter said. “We knew there was a need in the Knoxville area for freight delivery, or cargo delivery.”
“We will be transitioning into moving homes and things like that,” she added. However, “right now, there’s a demand for the cargo and freight, so we just decided to get into this avenue.”
She said Frazier came up with the name.
“He just said everyone has the same 24 hours. That’s where the name came from,” Walter said. “This is like a series for us. We’re serial entrepreneurs. All our companies will be Same 24 whatever company it’s going to be.
“We’re just a local company here trying to grow in the cargo industry and the freight industry,” she added. “We’re pretty new, but we do have customers right now that are pretty consistent, so we’re growing right now.”
Coinciding with their new business, Walter said they also have a commercial cleaning company, Same 24 Cleaning.
Walter moved to the area about five years ago and started the cleaning company.
“This year, we decided to get into logistics just because we just knew the need was there,” she said.
Currently, though, they only are delivering things that can fit (in a car or SUV) “because we don’t have box trucks, sprinters or cargo vans right now,” Walter said. “We’re working on getting those within the next two months.”
Also, “we are looking for employees to drive on the routes between 9 and 10 a.m. to 4 to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday, here in the Knoxville area,” she said.
