At least 50 children, ages from 1 to 7 and older, gathered for St. John Neumann Catholic Church’s Easter egg hunt in front and beside SJN Catholic School, 625 St. John Court, Saturday, March 30.

Children raced to find eggs, some with candy inside, and one golden egg in each age category, for which children could get a prize. Cookies and refreshments followed.

Legos, Easter eggs and the playground highlighted children’s fun as part of Farragut Christian Church’s Easter celebration, which started Saturday afternoon, March 30, at the church, 138 Admiral Road.

About 80 children, from 2 years old through fifth grade, took part in the fun. It started with Legos stations, then continued with an explanation of why Easter is celebrated by Randi Nussbaum, children’s minister, and culminated with the egg hunt.

While many children raced to find eggs, some youngsters preferred the playground.
