Final Town ballot told, +1
The field is set to fill two seats on the Farragut Board of Mayor and Aldermen, with Election Day Thursday, Aug. 1.
• The open North Ward (I) seat, to be vacated by term-limited Vice Mayor Louise Povlin, finds two on the ballot: Alex Cain and Jeffrey Devlin.
Having missed the Thursday, April 4, deadline to be on the ballot, Adam Atherton informed farragutpress he will “be a write-in” candidate for North Ward (I) alderman, with “paperwork due 50 days before election.”
• The South Ward (II) candidates are challenger Randal Roberts and incumbent Drew Burnette.
Knox County-District 5
In the Knox County General Election, survivors from the March 5 primary are:
• Looking to replace term-limited John Schoonmaker as 5th District County Commissioner are Democrat S. Arthur Moore and Republican Angela Russell;
• Looking to replace term-limited Susan Horn as 5th District Board of Education representative are Democrat Terrye Whitaker and Republican Lauren Morgan;
Knox County-District 6
• In the 6th District County Commission race, Democrat challenger Daniel Greene will attempt to unseat Republican incumbent Terry Hill.
