Living History at Pleasant Forest Cemetery
Learn more about the historic Pleasant Forest Cemetery and those buried there at Living History at Pleasant Forest Cemetery, presented by the Town of Farragut Museum Committee and the Arts and Beautification Committee.
Event is from 1:30 to 4 p.m., Sunday, April 28, at the cemetery, located at the intersection of South Campbell Station Road and Concord Road.
“Experience the history of the Concord and Farragut communities from the perspective of several of the cemetery’s historically-significant inhabitants,” a Town of Farragut Parks & Recreation press release stated.
“Local performers will portray these noteworthy individuals, like Nancy Galbreath, who cared for wounded Union and Confederate Civil War soldiers, and Limon Bacon, a school bus driver and caretaker at Old Concord School,” the release also stated.
Event is free and no registration is required. ADA parking is provided on-site. All other parking is at F
arragut Community Center, 239 Jamestowne Blvd., with transportation provided to the cemetery.
