‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ 3-day run at FHS begins tonight
Estimated to run about 100 minutes, shows begin each evening at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.) and also run Thursday and Friday, April 18-19. Cost at the door is $5 for all attendees.
“Everyone’s character is meant to be out of their comfort zone, so they really have to do a deep dive in their character ... to try something totally different from what they’ve done before,” said student director Maggie Raines, a senior. “And student directing ... has been a new challenge for myself, and the other directors have stepped into an entirely different role of theater.”
The play’s lead characters feature Brianna Booth (senior) as Hermia, Jude Smith (senior) as Lysander, Hayden Toon (junior) as Demetrius, Josie Braun (senior) as Helena and Olivia Gnoth (junior) as Nick Bottom/Pyramus.
Other cast members are Adam Hooyman (senior) as Theseus; Lakyn Baron (junior) as Hippolyta; Bryson Keasling (senior) as Egeus; Addison Garrett (junior) as Robin/Puck; Riley Varner (senior) as Oberon; Morgan Studebaker (senior) as Titania; Molly Barber (junior) as Flute/Thisbe; Kaitlyn Mee (junior) as Quince; Addison Richards (junior) as Starveling/Moonshine; Tiyanna Dudley (junior) as Snug/Lion; Eli Garrett (junior) as Snout/Wall/Sword; Sydney Romer (senior) as Philostrate; Rafika Amlani (freshman) as Mote; Eva Rogers (junior) as Mustardseed; Julia Tiernan (freshman) as Peaseblossom; and Nika Ray (sophomore) as Cobweb.
Also behind the scenes are stage manager Emma Stephens (junior), costume and design director Claire Long (junior) and lights coordinator Maverick Queern (sophomore).
