• Dr. Paul J. Plummer, DVM, PhD, recently was chosen the next dean for University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. He currently serves as associate dean of research and graduate studies for the College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University, as well as a professor and Anderson Endowed Chair in Veterinary Sciences in the Department of Veterinary Diagnostic and Production Animal Medicine.
• University of Tennessee Health Science Center’s College of Nursing continues its strong showing among Doctor of Nursing Practice programs nationwide with a No. 25 ranking by U.S. News & World Report for its DNP program among the magazine’s Best Graduate Schools list for 2024.
• Current Watersports, the new local MasterCraft and Crest dealership, will hold its official grand opening from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m., Saturday, May 4, at its shop, 11221 Outlet Drive in Farragut. It will feature food trucks, live music, games, giveaways and more. Current Watersports, which sells and services MasterCraft boats, also has locations in Cincinnati and Louisville, Kentucky.
