Juliet, 5-1 victory against Nolesville and a 2-0 blanking of Hendersonville Beech — Farragut baseball looked to keep a pair of undefeated streaks going against a tough rival Monday night, April 22, on the road.
Perfect against District 4-4A and state of Tennessee competition entering its trip to HVA, the Admirals (25-5, 9-0) smacked a pair of home runs among its 11-hit effort while turning back the Hawks to win 13-4.
Senior left fielder Charlie Bozeman belted a three-run home in the fourth inning, which answered a three-run blast by Hawk Jacob Dillon in the third inning.
Senior infielder Jake Merrick had two clutch hits and four RBI. Gavin Brewer, senior catcher, had two hits.
Lukas Buckner, senior shortstop, added two hits and two RBI. Brennon Seigler, senior center fielder, contributed an RBI single. Landis Davila, senior right fielder, added one RBI.
Senior infielder Eli Evans smacked a solo home run among his two hits while sophomore designated hitter Jake Harris singled.
Winning pitcher Stratton Scott (3 1/3 innings) and reliever Michael Delph (3 2/3), both seniors, combined to allow seven hits and two walks with nine strikeouts.
Dillon and Caleb Neely each had two hits for HVA (19-6, 6-4). Jax Sparks doubled while Aiden Murphy had an RBI single. Colton Denton singled.
