KCSO reports
• At 7:39 p.m., Wednesday, April 17, a complainant called Knox County Sheriff’s Office Teleserve Unit to report a vehicle burglary from The Goddard School, 125 Loudon Road. Complainant said the victim, his wife, went into the school around 4:30 p.m. to pick up her children, and when returning to the vehicle around 4:50 p.m. she realized the various items in her 2019 Toyota Highlander were stolen, with a value listed at $535. Complainant advised the vehicle was left unlocked, and there were three attempted charges on the credit card from Kroger at 4:48 p.m. totaling $4,061.36.
The cards have been cancelled. Complainant said he preferred to make the report rather than his wife because he didn’t want to bother her due to her being home putting the children to bed.
• At 3:48 p.m., April 17, a complainant called KCSO North Precinct to report theft of his credit card numbers that occurred at 11905 Butternut Lane. Complainant advised an unknown suspect used his and his wife’s Citi Credit card numbers to make several purchases. He advised most of the purchases are made in Columbia, South Carolina. He was advised by Richmond County Sheriff’s Office he would need to file a report where he lives before they would be able to help him.
He stated 18 charges have been made on the cards. His card had $164.00 in unauthorized charges and his wife’s card had $800.00 in unauthorized charges.
• At 9:07 a.m., April 17, a complainant called KCSO North Precinct to report theft in the parking lot of Walgreens, 601 N. Campbell Station Road. She “advised her son/victim is currently incarcerated at Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility and she was filing the report for him,” the report stated. “She advised the victim allowed his friend to borrow his vehicle. While in this friend’s possession. suspect took the key fob. Suspect is dating the victim’s friend. Value of key fob was listed at $300.
• At 9:01 a.m., April 17, a victim called KCSO East Precinct to report a vandalism, which occurred at a Finch Road address. According to the victim, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., Sunday, April 14, “suspect cut down two large trees inside the perimeter of their fence,” the report stated. “Victim said the backyard of the suspect’s property backs up to their horse pasture. She said the two large trees had been there at least 20 to 30 years.
“According to the victim, at first the suspect tried to say he didn’t realize (he was) on their property,” the report further stated. Victim said their property “is fenced in and the trees were inside their fence. Victim “said she told him, ‘I guess you’ve got a better view now, and he acknowledged that he did.’” Victim said the suspect owns the property that backs up to them, but he uses it as a rental house. He does not actually reside on the property.” Value of damage was not listed.
• At 12:35 p.m., Monday, April 15, a KCSO unit responded to Old Maynardville Pike in reference to a burglary. Victim said the two suspects “approached his house through the woods and broke in one of the rear doors to the residence,” the report stated. “He further (said) there were two damaged doors, approximately $5,000 missing, and the house had been ransacked. I did document the damage utilizing axon capture. The victim (said) he did not know who would have done this.”
