It’s 17 FHS track-field state qualifiers; HVA 16

At the TSSAA Division I Sectional 1-AA meet at Hardin Valley Academy Saturday, May 11, Farragut’s boys and girls qualified for the state meet in Murfreesboro later this month in 17 events, five of whom were Sectional champs.

Those Admirals and Lady Admirals finishing at the top were Bryce Thompson, discus, Sectional champ, 159-feet-10.00; Thompson, shot put, Sectional champ (new FHS record of 65-foot-10.5); Braden Ebbert, 3200 run Sectional champ, 9:11.52; Katie Edmunds, pole vault, Sectional champ, 10-06.00; Parker Willis, 800-meter run, Sectional champ, 2:15.91; and Max Smydra, triple jump, Sectional champ, 44-04.00.

Hardin Valley Academy Sectional champions: boys 4X800 relay (7:48.23); and Gracie Waite, discus, 117-00.00, and shot put, 43-04.75.
