FHS seniors, 3, are U.S. Presidential Scholars Program semifinalists; Dean’s List honorees

• Three Farragut High School seniors have been named semifinalists for the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program: Elaina Conger, Iris Ye and Alice Liu. They were among 625 semifinalists nationwide selected from more than 6,000 candidates.

• Among the 1,931 students named to the Dean’s List at Samford University for spring 2024 semester were four from Farragut: Kirsten Jennings, Shelby Justice, Camden Kuhn and Mary Slaughter. To qualify, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade-point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework.

• Belmont University in Nashville recently released its Dean’s List for spring 2024 semester. Among its honorees were Anna Komistek and Joseph Malone of Farragut. Dean’s List eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade-point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.
