• Rotary Club of Knoxville will bestow its 2024 Peace Award to Marti Baker and CareCuts of Knoxville’s mission,”Restoring Dignity, Restoring Lives,” during a Rotary 2024 Peace Award Luncheon noon, Tuesday, May 21, in Knoxville Museum of Art.
• Vantage Point Financial Planning has been named to the 2024 Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Management Teams list. The firm also won the Vantage Point Financial Planning, Ameriprise Client Experience Award for a period from 2020 through 2023.
• National Credit Union Administration recently awarded ORNL Federal Credit Union a merger with Lowland Credit Union. Following state regulatory approval and LCU’s members vote of approval, the merger was effective May 1. ORNL FCU is the continuing credit union, with LCU employees and members now ORNL FCU employees and members.
• For the fourth time, Highway Transport recently earned the Responsible Care Partner of the Year Award, which the American Chemistry Council presented during its Responsible Care and Sustainability Conference in May.
Responsible Care is the chemical manufacturing industry’s environmental, health, safety and security performance initiative. The 2024 Partner of the Year Award recognizes ACC partners with superb performance and safety records in the distribution, transportation, storage, use, treatment, disposal and sales and marketing of chemicals.
• University of Tennessee Medical Center has announced its achievement of TeamBirth Recognition, which is a “testament to the dedication of our staff and leadership to ensuring that every patient’s voice is heard throughout the birth experience,” a press release stated.
UTMC implemented TeamBirth in 2022 to optimize teamwork and communication before, during and after labor and delivery.
