• Dixie Lee Farmers Market has begun at 12740 Kingston Pike in Renaissance Center. The annual market is open, rain or shine, from 9 a.m. to noon each Saturday through October.

It features handcrafts, honey, fresh-brewed locally roasted coffee, baked goods and farmers’ produce, as well as live music by Jack Hatfield and Friends.

• The Doctor of Audiology program at UT Health Science Center has climbed into the top 25 of audiology programs nationwide, ranking No. 22 in the U.S. News & World Report’s Best Graduate Schools list for 2024.

The AuD program moved up four spots from its previous ranking of No. 26 in the nation.

Led by program director Patrick Plyler, PhD, the program is administered by UT Health Science Center’s College of Health Professions and is part of the Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology in Knoxville.

• Mountain Commerce Bancorp Inc., the Knoxville-based bank holding company and parent of Mountain Commerce Bank, recently announced promotions of four key team members: Jenny L. Carter to first vice president and director of human resources, Brittany M. Cox to assistant vice president and treasury management analyst 2, Nikki Simmons from senior operations specialist to assistant vice president and Brittany N. Robins to banking officer and senior operations specialist.

• Plans are in the works for The Pinnacle at Turkey Creek’s Farmers Market from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sundays, starting in June and continuing through July at The Pinnacle along Parkside Drive.
