• Tennova Healthcare North Knoxville Medical Center has named Nathan Irwin as its new chief operating officer effective Monday, June 17.

Irwin is a Tennessee native and an accomplished leader with a track record of building operational excellence by emphasizing culture, attention to detail and commitment to the community, according to a Tennova press release.

“He is familiar with Tennova, as he currently serves as chief operating officer at our sister facility Tennova Healthcare – Cleveland,” the release stated. “During his time at Cleveland, Nathan focused on volume growth and oversaw many critical initiatives that impacted overall patient care through process improvement, engagement and satisfaction.

“Nathan oversaw and led project teams for capital deployment, including renovating the behavioral health campus, cafeteria renovations and implementing new technology,” the release further stated.

“Under his leadership, Tennova Healthcare – Cleveland saw an increase in patient transfers from outlying community hospitals.”
