In a page 1A feature story in our June 5 issue about the small children of Timothy and Alexis Kneller battling eye cancer, we incorrectly used the term “quit” in both the headline and the story regarding the Knellers’ employment.
Neither Alexis, as an English teacher at Hardin Valley Academy, nor Timothy, a chimney sweeper, quit their jobs — they instead left their jobs temporarily in order to be alongside their children during their care at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia.
We regret the error.
