Continuing a tradition going back decades on Kentucky Derby Saturday (the first Saturday in May), Farragut High School alumni who graduated, or attended, the former FHS location near the corner of Kingston Pike and Concord Road gathered for its annual “Old Timers Reunion” in Virtue Church Family Life Center the morning of May 4.

The last class to attend all four years at the old location was 1976, while the Class of 1979 attended the old site their freshman year before everything shifted to the current location beginning in August 1976.

Scores of alumni dating back to the Class of 1949 enjoyed seeing classmates and others they went to school with — some having not seen each other since graduation night — along with browsing old FHS yearbooks, football and basketball programs and other school memorabilia from years gone by. Light refreshments were available.
