Dove brings her experience to Bloom Beauty Salon
“I love it,” she said about opening at Studios West. “I enjoy being around people and doing what I love.”
While she provides haircuts, Dove’s specialties are hair extensions, for which she has been certified for 18 years.
“I am well-versed in several methods of extensions, which is my passion,” she said.
Dove also specializes in smoothing and color, using All Nutrient coloring products.
“I’m really into the all-natural hair color,” she said. “(All Nutrient) is the best.”
Dove added that product is “one of the longest-lasting color lines, which is a natural organic color line that repairs the hair with certified organic natural butters, essential oils and extracts.”
Additionally, “I do the Brazilian blow-out,” she said. “It’s a smoothing treatment.”
Regarding cuts, “I’ve kept up and done extra training for that,” Dove added, noting she does cuts for all types of hair, “even curly.”
Before opening Dove’s salon, this mother of four took some time off from her business to have a baby three years ago and another two years ago.
Raising four children while deciding to return to the salon business, Dove said she was ready to get back to work.
She previously had Salon West off Middlebrook Pike, then moved to Elite Suites before her hiatus.
“I was excited to open my own suite again,” the new owner said. “It was a lot to get started.”
Dove said she knew a woman who had a salon at Studios West and loved it.
