KCSO reports
• At 10 a.m., Saturday, July 6, a Knox County Sheriff’s Office unit came upon a 2022 blue Dodge Charger bearing a Florida tag “at the boat ramp located at 10915 Concord Park Drive,” a KCSO report stated. “Just previous, 911 received a call from the complainant ... stating two people, a male and a female, were fighting in the vehicle.”
The suspects, female driver and male passenger “were separated,” the report further stated. The female said “her mother had recently passed away and she was borrowing the vehicle from a friend to drive to her mother’s funeral. (She) denied any domestic assault had occurred between the two. The male, her fiancé, confirmed they had not been physical.
Consent was given to a vehicular search, finding “drug paraphernalia, including numerous baggies, snort spoon and 13 cut straws ... .”
A records check revealed the female “to have an active Capias warrant out of Claiborne County for ‘theft of merchandise, possession schedule IV’ and ‘driving while licence suspended,’” while 2.26 grams of a crystal-like substance” was found on her person.
She and her fiancé were taken into custody.
