Farragut’s 2nd Annual Party in Park July 26: ‘entertainment, games, musical element’
Town of Farragut Parks & Recreation Department and Visit Farragut are teaming up to present 2nd Annual Party in the Park, which will take place from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 26, at Founders Park at Campbell Station, 405 N. Campbell Station Road.
“I’m really excited,” Town Recreation Event manager Rachel Malone said.
“Last year is the first year it has happened,” she added about Party in the Park. “This is a free family-friendly event.
“We came up with it to celebrate National Parks & Rec Month in July. It’s part of our Summer Concert Series, so there’s a musical element to it, but there’ll be a DJ instead of live music.”
The party includes “food trucks, entertainment, games and activities for kids of all ages — and kids at heart,” Malone said. “No registration is required” to attend.
At the same time, Malone said the DJ will be playing music, as well as facilitating some of the activities.
“We’ll have yard games, like we did for the Bluegrass Summer Solstice,” Malone said. “We’ll have a couple of craft options for the kids and also food trucks.”
