Fontenot, Tate are promoted to assistant ADs at Farragut
Two Farragut High School teachers who also have served as coaches and/or directors have been promoted to FHS assistant athletic directors to begin the 2024-25 school year, it was announced Wednesday, July 17.
Assuming those roles are Albert Fontenot and Jack Tate.
Fontenot, a Farragut High graduate and running backs coach on the 2016 state championship Admirals football team (coaching 2016 through 2021), is a special education teacher who has taught at the school since 2016.
Tate, a long-time Bearden High School teacher who, as Bulldogs baseball head coach, led BHS to its best finish in program history (state runner-up in 2012), just finished his fourth school year at FHS as sports information director and a film studies teacher.
