Complete Suites success filling her youthful wishes

Jazmon Roberts opens Revive Wellness, with expansion to a nearby suite soon

Jazmon Roberts has reverted back to a childhood desire and has opened her own massage business, Revive Wellness.

“It has been truly wonderful,” she said. “It’s been a really great experience. You know, all of my clients really love the location. They love seeing me happy again.”

Roberts provides massage therapy — Swedish, deep tissue, stretching, myofacial and pregnancy massages — at her studio, 12748 Kingston Pike, Suite 16, of Renaissance | Farragut’s Complete Salon Suites.

Roberts opened the salon on June 4; however, she will be moving to a larger suite (Suite 3) in Complete Suites the first or second week of September.

“The (Complete Salon Suites) owner is amazing here,” said Roberts, who explained when she moved in, she realized a larger space than anticipated would be needed and relayed that to the suites owner.

“She’s really good about offering current tenants new spaces that are coming available before she offers them to people just coming in for the first time, which I absolutely love,” Roberts added about the Complete Suites owner.

Before going into the massage business, she worked in restaurants — but wanted a change and went to massage school.

“It was something I had always wanted to do,” Roberts said. “It started with my grandmother and my mom coming home from work so tired.”

They would ask her to rub their feet and shoulders.

Roberts remembered when she was in elementary school and, for a King and Queen Coronation fundraiser, she sold massages to teachers instead of selling candy.

“One of my teachers told me, ‘When you grow up, you could be a massage therapist.’ I thought ‘Oh, my gosh, that’s a thing?’”

“It was something that just stuck with me,” Roberts added.

She has been in the massage therapy business for six years before opening her own salon.

Before opening Revive Wellness, she held a management position at Longevity in Bearden.

“I felt like (the management role) isolated me from a lot of my co-workers,” Roberts said.

So, she decided to venture out on her own.

“I took a little bit of time to sit down and access my finances, things like that to see if this was something that was feasible,” she said. “And, I made it happen.

“I’m very happy; I’m thriving.”

Looking for a location to start her business, Roberts said she researched the area and thought the Complete Suites location was the best fit. Additionally, she observed the suites did not have a massage therapist on hand.

“It’s worked out really great,” she said. “Most of the people here are amazing. Some of them have been promoting me even before I came in.”

Roberts is at the salon from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday; from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Tuesday; and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday and Saturday. She is closed Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. She takes customers by appointment only.
