• At 12:41 p.m., Monday, Aug. 5, a complainant called Knox County Sheriff’s Office Teleserve Unit to report an attempted vehicular burglary at Ingles, 11847 Kingston Pike. Complainant said he last parked his locked vehicle at this location at 11 a.m.

“When he returned to his vehicle at 11:20 a.m., he saw that his vehicle cameras has captured the suspect holding a device attempting to gain access to his vehicle, but to no avail,” the report stated. “Complainant further advised the suspect was traveling in a vehicle, which possibly had an elderly gentleman in the passenger’s seat.”

Complainant said nothing was stolen.

• At 11:41 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 4, officers were dispatched to Cotton Eyed Joe, 11220 Outlet Drive, for a disturbance. Employees said they wanted the suspect trespassed from the property.

Officers verbally trespassed the suspect from the property and advised if he returned he would be arrested.

• At 9:38 a.m., Friday, Aug. 2, officers responded to 133 Lovell Road regarding an injured man in the road. “Officers made contact with victim, “who said he was riding his electric bike south on the sidewalk when a gray Toyota Tacoma hit him, causing him to fall,” the report stated. “There were no witnesses.”

Moreover, one officer reported he “did not observe any tire marks that were consistent with being hit by a vehicle,” the report stated. “The bike had no observable damage consistent with being hit by a vehicle.”

Victim “had a strong odor of alcohol emanating from his breath and seemed confused when questioned about where the incident occurred in relation to where he was found,” the report further stated.

“Officers did observe tire marks in the road that indicated a vehicle had driven toward the curb,” but the officer added he “could not determine if they were related to this incident.”

Officers spoke with fellow employees at a convenience store where the victim works. The employees said the victim “had been complaining of someone driving a gray Toyota truck who was bothering him, but had never witnessed any threats or assaults,” the report stated.

Victim was transported to Tennova Turkey Creek Medical Center for further treatment.

• At 9:27 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 1, an officer responded to 1134 Scenic Loop Way in regard to property damage, observing “six vehicles with damage,” causing trees to fall, the report stated. “All vehicles were parked in an apartment parking lot. There were no injuries.”

Officer “could not identify the owners of the vehicles, but was able to make contact with the property manager,” the report stated. No dollar damage amount was listed in the report.
