• Josh Lowe recently was named vice president of Morning Pointe Senior Living’s Smoky Region.
In this role, Lowe oversees daily operations at 10 East Tennessee assisted living and memory care communities, which include Hardin Valley, Knoxville, Lenoir City, Clinton, Powell and Greeneville.
• OPERA America, a national service organization for opera, recently welcomed Knoxville Opera general director/CEO Jason Hardy into its new class of board members, which includes distinguished leaders throughout the opera industry.
• Kari Babski-Reeves recently was named University of Tennessee associate vice president of research.
She will begin Oct. 1. Babski-Reeves will provide strategic leadership to advance the UT system’s research agenda, facilitating efforts across the university’s campuses and institutes to develop and enhance research capacity and productivity.
“Research at our campuses transforms lives in Tennessee, the nation and the world,” UT system president Randy Boyd said. “As we continue the greatest decade in UT history, we are committed to enhancing and extending our university system’s reach in research. “Kari’s extensive experience and proven success in research align perfectly with our goal to broaden the reach and impact of our research,” Boyd added.
